New Kimeral is a huge, bustling Metropolis located centrally on the western coastline, and is the largest city in Umbradale. Many classes and races of people populate the city, from nobles to commoners, and it is home to the High Throne recently vacated by the death of High King Hornigold. When Hornigold died without producing an heir, the city was thrown into political chaos, the state of which has allowed Kuranese and Tyrian claims to the throne.

The turbulence has left the army in disarray, and many have defected to either fight for Tyr, or go into hiding. The remainder guard the city to the best of their ability in accordance with Hornigold’s decrees.

 

Unknown to all but the most powerful users of magic, a strange phenomenon is occurring deep within the catacombs of the castle; and a hunger for knowledge is being relentlessly pursued.
